Seven Days of Waiting Outside the Camp Even more moving is that during the seven days Miriam was shut outside the camp, the people did not journey on, but waited until she was brought in again. God's people halted their steps because one person was under discipline, for their lives were bound together. After seven days she was received back and returned to the camp. God's discipline is never meant to destroy, but to win back and restore.
