Some ask whether eternal punishment is compatible with a God of love. But love and justice are not opposites in God; they meet perfectly at the cross. There, God's justice against sin was fully satisfied and His love was fully displayed, as Jesus took the judgment we deserved. The reality of hell should therefore never make us doubt God's love, but should make the cross shine all the brighter.
