Studies, career, marriage, relocation — we all long to know God's leading. Scripture gives clear paths. 1. Start with the will already revealed. Ninety percent of God's will is already written: be holy, give thanks, love people, flee immorality. Obey what is clear before asking about what is unclear. 2. Pray for wisdom. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach" (James 1:5). 3. Listen for confirmation from the body. The proud go solo; the humble consult spiritual elders and the church. "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." 4. Watch open doors — without superstition. An open door need not be entered (Paul once declined a lawful opportunity); a closed one is not despair. Weigh circumstances together with Scripture, prayer and counsel. 5. Embrace freedom with responsibility. Between options that honor Scripture, God often grants real freedom — He cares more about who you become than which city employs you. Finally, move. A ship steers best when under way. Take a prayerful step of faith, and God keeps guiding on the road.
