Peter: From Fisherman to Rock, a Failure Held Fast by Grace

One day, as Jesus walked along the shore, He saw them and spoke the call that would change their lives forever. Every question was an act of forgiveness and fresh commission, as the Lord charged him to shepherd the flock. Through that one sermon, about three thousand people turned to the Lord in a single day. From then on he worked miracles, was imprisoned, and suffered persecution, yet he never stopped bearing witness to the Lord, and in the end he gave his very life for the sake of the gospel. A Failure Held Fast by Grace Peter's life reminds us: what God treasures is not the person who never falls, but the person who, having fallen, is still willing to be lifted up by the Lord.
